 Once again the HOF voters have ignored Bonds, Clemens, McGwire, Jackson, Rose, Sosa and others. Last year no one got in, This year only Ortiz. 

 A 49ers - Bengals game would be the third between the teams. If it is a Rams-Chiefs matchup it would be 2 straight years a team hosts a Super Bowl. Also it would be the second in a row for the Chiefs playing as the visitors. Roger Goodell must want the Rams to win the NFC Title game after the effort to put them back in Los Angeles. The Rams and 49ers played for the NFC Title in 1989, the Niners hammering them. 

 The 49ers kicked a FG to oust the Packerss 13-10. That was the same score in 1965 when The Pack beat the Colts on Don Chandler's dubious FG. Nine sacks by Tennessee and they still lost to the Bengals. All four games ended on the final play of the game, 3 FG's and a Touchdown. Matt Stafford and Patrick Mahomes set up winning and tying FG's with two completions. Hard to believe how wide open receivers were by Chiefs and Rams and even by the Bucs and Bills on the closing drives.

 The 1972 Miami team gets a lot of praise for going 17-0. However what is never mentioned is they did not, repeat, did not play a playoff team during the regular season. They also benefited from lots of  close calls against the Browns and Steelers in the playoffs.  Kudos though goes to Earl Morrall who was the QB for most of the season and first playoff win as Bob Griese was sidelined with a broken ankle.

 Joe Burrow should be the NFL MVP in 2021. His stats and Bengals in playoffs prove it.
