 Three trips in a row without even getting off a shot. There were too many players jammed at the top of the key and they had to rush in a crowd. The last possession was a disaster. Reminded me of 1982 when Fred Brown threw the ball away to James Worthy. Never seen a missed shot attempt like that. 

 If ever an offensive lineman deserved the MVP in a title game it was Jerry Kramer of the Green Bay Packers in the 1962 NFL Championship Game. He kicked 3 field goals and was the lead blocker on lots of plays including the only touchdown by Jim Taylor. 

 Either Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen will not make it to the conference championship. Either the Lions or Vikings will still be looking for their first Super Bowl win after it is over. Cold winter weather will be a factor again.

 It's a tradition that several playoff and non playoff teams will not try hard the last weekend. Phil Simms once said the 49ers laid down like dogs after they lost to the Rams which eliminated the Giants. The Giants earlier blew their chance by losing to the Jets for a playoff spot.

 All four of the so called top seeds were quickly dispatched. Could be a BIG 10 Final between Ohio State and Penn State. Funny how both their coaches were being blasted for losing a game earlier this year.

 He was never called James Carter. Would sound different. What if he ran again in 1988 ? 

 To make sure viewers pay up and watch yet more football, the NFL and Netflix will be showing 2 games today as long as you pay for Netflix's subscription. Yet fans will still flock to the games in whatever weather to watch.
